This is an amazing knot. I was soft and ready to shave right out of the box. I had a handle ready for it, set it with no issues and was shaving with it the next day. No break-in was needed and there was absolutely no smell. Whenever I need to replace another knot, I'll come back to Shave Forge.
No problem mounting the brush to handle, very easy. Soaked for 48 hrs in cold water, working brush at 24 hr periods. Used during a shave, good lathering, but still gonna take time to break in. Still needs work. Will up date.
This is a very nice knot for a great price. Boar brushes are very affordable but often lack a variety in handles. I wanted longer handled boar so I had to go custom. This knot was a great value.
