Lots of unglued hairs and looks like a wet dog after a few shaves

    Awesome boar knot.

Posted by Joe K on Nov 7th 2021

This knot has been fantastic. Minimal shedding outside of the first few uses. Loads up great on softer artisan soaps and triple milled soaps alike.

Face feel is very nice to me. I like a brush with good backbone and some scritch to it, this knot fits that to a tee. The scritch factor is not uncomfortable, which is important.

At under $7, this knot punches way above it's weight. I'd have no hesitation in buying another in the future.

Fantastic scritch and scrub with just the right amount of backbone, not the first time buying these.

Really Nice and Easy to Break-In

    Posted by r0b0 on Dec 4th 2020

I was on a quest to set badger, horse and boar in my own vintage Rubberset 400 style interchangeable brush handle. I bought all three knots from Shaveforge.

I had a 26mm ferrel that I planned to mount this 28MM knot it. I very carefully shaved and ground the glue base on the knot ever so slightly to get a tight fit in the 26mm ferrel. It turned out great. The density in the 28mm is as impressive as the loft hight and (as expected) strong boar backbone. No shedding on this knot outside the mounting and first use expected few strands.

I soaked this in water and shave soap for 48 hour to let the steric acid in the soap soften, loosen and remove any minor natural oder. Shaved twice with it and then repeated the break-in process. The third shave was awesome and it felt like an old friend. No beating the price and try finding a 28mm anywhere else. Great value and quality. #goshaveforge

I have ordered several of these brush knots, and every one of them has been excellent. They provide a great shave, and leave the face invigorated.. - No wonder they remain so much in demand!

Especially with boar bristle knots, always rinse them thoroughly, and shake them well after shaving. - That helps to keep them free from mould.

I love this brush as much as I do my horse hair alternate. There’s nothing that can beat the glow which comes from those boar bristles: invigorating, but not harsh...just a great shave, from start to finish!

No serious brush shaver should be without one of these excellent boar bristle brushes!
