Brown horse hair shaving brush knot 20mm

Similar in appearance to boar bristles, but extremely soft.  Made from 100% horse hair with no fillers.

    My two go-to brushes are boar (I like the stiffness) and silvertip badger (obvious reasons), but I thought I try a horse knot on a rebuilt vintage Star shaving brush. I wasn't expecting much, but was very surprised with this not. It's a nice blend of my two favorites, didn't smell like a barnyard, and was easy to break-in. I have five more "re-builds" on my desk and I'll buy another horse for at least one of them.

    Very soft on the face. Had a bit of smell to it, but was gone after a couple days use. Great brush for a restore, highly recommend.

    The knot would lose a lot of hair with every used now 3 months later my brush will need a new knot.

    The brush knot is full, yet soft. I especially like knowing that the horses who donate their hair are not harmed by the process.

    This is a wonderful alternate to the stiffer brushes that I usually use. The brush knot is supple and pleasant to use. Alternating between the stiffer boar bristle is a very satisfying experience.
