Horse Hair Shaving Brush Knot - Brown (24mm x 68mm)

I purchased 2 white and 2 brown horsehair knots. After I used the first one I ended up pulling all 4 out of their handles, re-drilling the holes (deeper) and resetting the knots. These are not bad knots it's just about preference. I like a knot with more backbone.

Knot is great. It is the second one I have purchased. So comfortable! Grabs soap, holds water, and is good for the animal. Shaveforge customer service is fantastic. The knot got list in the mail and Erik did everything to make things right. He runs an exceptional show!

Not a single hair has come out. Excellent loft. The backbone is great and somehow this thing is still soft! I’ll buy another the first chance I get.

This brush exceeded my expectations. I was on a quest to set badger, horse, and boar in my own vintage Rubberset 400 style interchangeable brush. I bought all three knots from Shaveforge. This horse knot is the softest (softer than the Silvertip Badger surprisingly) while still full of backbone. Almost no shedding; the first two shaves I lost a few strands and after that, I am good to go — no shedding. I highly recommend this knot. The quality and price are spot on. You can’t go wrong.

Knot arrived in the mail in decent time. The hair itself is very nice - soft yet enough backbone. The only problem - but it’s a big problem - is that this thing is shedding like mad. I spent about a full minute before first have plucking out literally more than a dozen hairs. It still left plenty more on my face and soap puck during lather. Still more hair came out during the rinse. I love horsehair knots and like the feel of this one, but would not buy this one again. - I’m wondering how much of the knot will be left after a month or so.
