Silvertip is one of the most expensive types of badger hair, and is from hair found only on the animal's muzzle and neck area. It is highly prized and offers excellent water retention and very soft tips, yet with a good backbone. Many companies sell bleached 'super' badger hair as Silvertip. Ours is unbleached, authentic, and left with its naturally off-white color.
I've purchased numerous wet shave knots from Erik and they are all fantastic quality knots. This one has a good backbone, soft tips and holds a lot of water. It whips up and applies lather very well. Outstanding!
