I loaded this knot in a handle and it’s awesome! I’d say it’s a little better than my other favorite budget knot, the black & white or tuxedo knot. A little better scrub and backbone, 2 things I’m looking for in a knot. Tips are still reasonably soft, but it whips up a lather quickly, it also has great flow-through, it checks all the boxes for me! This knot is the closest in performance to the more expensive German & Japanese synthetic knots, IMO. I’ll be buying more!
It has an excellent look & feel and fits my brush handle perfectly. I prefer smaller (20mm) brushes as they fit my frame better; this one looks good and is very smooth, yet has enough backbone to whip up a full lather. Minimal wrapping & low shipping costs are a plus; very fast service. I have been impressed and will use the site again.
Lots of backbone, denser than expected compared to a couple other brushes I got from ShaveForge, very soft. A fantastic brush and a pleasure to use.
I have this style knot on another brush so bought this for an Ever Ready 500 PB. Good backbone for a synth knot, makes great lather and looks close to the original brush.
I wanted to try a modern synthetic knot and was disappointed in the softness of the bristles. I am used to natural badger hair, so it is probably just me, but I don’t care for the synthetic. The knot itself is very well made and appears to be good quality, so this is not meant to disparage the manufacturer.
