Excellent knot.... Plenty of backbone but nice and soft! Happy!
This knot has good density. This replaced a pure knot in a Simpson Special. I am very pleased. The brittles seem prickly at first, but once wet are nice and soft. Very minimal scritch. I set it at about a 52mm loft. Has good backbone, with just enough splay for my face lathering preferences.
Makes my Ever Ready C40 look like the original. Nice backbone and scritch.
This knot is a winner. I fit it into a vintage handle, where it loads easily and lathers effectively on the face with no prickle at all. I’ll use this one a lot.
